The Right to be Left Alone 01; a Basic History

 This essay on the right “to be left alone” was written ten years ago and is a good beginning study on these rights. Much of what privacy law is in this day and age is based on the new technologies that collect and distribute our personal information such as computers. In the pass the idea of the right  “to be left alone” had to do with things such as not carrying an id card. The right to be anonymous, especially in the face of authority, has so escaped us in this day and age we don’t even think about walking around with out id, in fact in California as an adult it is cause for jailing a person. The right “to be left alone” some argue is the bases of the constitution and the rights it provides us as citizens.
