 When Michelle begins to receive bills for services and merchandise she never purchased, it doesn’t take her long to figure out that someone has stolen her identity.  She starts by going to the police who say ” you canceled your cards right? So there shouldn’t be a problem. In all likelihood the problem is all over. ” Michelle finds the problem is not over  by far. In her pursuit of the truth a warrant is issued for the arrest of the impostor but the real Michelle is wrongly accused.  In the end Michelle appeals to the U.S. Senate for more concise identity theft laws.
