My focus here is to explain some of the simplest first steps to protecting private information. There  is no way to totally prevent information from being accessed by hardened hackers, but much like locking your door at night to discourage thieves, there are some simple save guards that can be taken to make it more difficult for a person’s information to be stolen and used with out their permission. Besides discussing some simply safe guards to protecting one’s privacy I also hope to point the reader to links that can detail information on given subjects such as exactly what does the Federal Government recommend a victim of identity theft to do?
